Our days in Cambodia:
Apr. 18, 2007
We land at Siem Reap Airport, where the visa process is quick and hassle-free—just a few minutes and $20 per person.
Our travel agency has arranged a driver to take us to our hotel, Pavillon Indochine.
On the way, he offers to be our guide and driver for exploring the temples in the coming days.
We gladly accept—a decision that proves to be excellent as our journey unfolds.

We begin our first day of temple exploration at 8:30 AM. Our first stop is the main entrance of the Angkor Historical Park, where we purchase a 7-day pass for $60 per person, granting us access to this incredible archaeological wonder.
Our taxi driver, Min Dara, is a well-spoken, fluent English speaker and a cultured, kind-hearted companion. Incredibly reliable, he always arrives a few minutes ahead of schedule. His deep knowledge of Cambodia and the daily life in the Siem Reap area adds an enriching layer to our journey.
Apr. 20, 2007
Today, we start earlier—at 7:00 AM—having learned from the previous day that we missed the best morning light for photography. This time, we’re ready to capture the temples in their most magical glow.
Apr. 21, 2007
We begin our day at Ta Prohm, arriving early to experience its mystical atmosphere before the crowds. Famous for its giant tree roots entwined with ancient stone ruins, this temple gained worldwide recognition as a filming location for the Tomb Raider movie.
Apr. 22, 2007
Today, we set out to explore the Roluos Group, one of the oldest temple complexes in the Angkor region, offering a glimpse into the early days of Khmer architecture.

Time flies, and sadly, our departure day has arrived. We leave deeply impressed by both the breathtaking temples and the warmth of the Cambodian people.
Our journey was unforgettable, thanks in no small part to our amazing driver, Min Dara, who made every moment special with his reliability, kindness, and deep knowledge of the region.
If you're planning a trip to Cambodia, I highly recommend booking Min Dara as your driver—he truly enhances the experience.
